(Gen 18:14) "Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son."
Read: Ge. 1:1; 14-19
God created the universe. The book of Acts tells us that He "…made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:" (Acts 4:24) In the course of outlining the creative work of God, notice this brief statement in v16 "…he made the stars also." It is almost as if to say, 'Oh by the way, God made all the stars up there too." "Is anything too hard for the Lord?" In light of the passages that we have read, this seems like an absurd question, doesn't it? "Is anything too hard for the Lord?" Jeremiah pondered the question, and he found the answer in Genesis 1:1.
(Jer 32:17) "Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:"
The answer is clear, there is nothing too hard for the Lord. So what? Let me present for your consideration some thoughts that will be an encouragement to all of us.
I. God Never Made A Promise He Couldn't Keep
A. A promise is:
1. "A legally binding declaration that gives the person to whom it is made a right to EXPECT or CLAIM the performance or forbearance of a specified act." Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary
2. When God makes a promise, we can expect Him to do, or refrain from doing certain things.
B. Promises God has made that we can claim
1. His Presence - "I will never leave thee nor forsake thee." (Heb. 13:3)
2. His Peace - "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you…" (Jn. 14:27)
3. His comfort - "…Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (Jn. 14:27)
4. His Providence - "All things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose." (Ro. 8:28)
5. His Wisdom - "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." (Jas. 1:5)
6. His cleansing - "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us…" (1 Jn. 1:9)
"Is any thing too hard for the Lord?" "There is nothing too hard for thee."
II. God Never Encountered A Problem He Couldn't Solve.
Note: Someone has said, When God is going to do something wonderful, He starts with a difficulty.
When God is going to do something very wonderful and miraculous, He starts with an impossibility.
A. Consider some of the problems God has solved
1. When He needed to get 2 million Jews away from the pursuing Egyptians, He parted the Red Sea.
2. When He needed to quench their thirst in the barren desert, He brought forth water from the rock.
3. When He needed to feed them, He sent them manna.
4. When He needed to convince a nation that Baal was a hoax and He was real, He sent fire from heaven.
5. When He needed a Savior, He created a baby in the virgin womb of Mary.
"Is any thing too hard for the Lord?" "There is nothing too hard for thee."

"Is any thing too hard for the Lord?" "There is nothing too hard for thee."
III. God Never Met a Person He Couldn't Save
(1 Tim 1:15) "This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief."

1. He said the world's most wicked person has already been saved.
2. If God has already saved the "Chief of sinners", then anyone can be saved.
3. There is no soul too hard for God to save.
4. Don't give up on that one who is lost; just keep on praying and trusting God to save them.
B. What about us?
1. The devil wants us to believe that it cannot be done.
2. He wants us to stay enslaved to sin.
3. God wants to set us free!
4. Peter tells us that God is not willing that any should perish. (2 Pet. 3:9)
5. Look at the thief on the cross.
a. The only thing that made him different from the other thief.
b. He placed his faith in Jesus Christ.
c. That is what makes the difference in anyone's life.
6. This morning if you are without Christ, you can be saved today!
(Rom 10:9-10) "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. {10} For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
